Assoc. Prof. Dr. Akif Enes Arikan, FEBS, FTBS, FACS, is an endocrine and general surgeon with over a decade of clinical and surgical education experience. He graduated from İstanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 2009 and completed his General Surgery residency in 2016, including a clinical fellowship at the University of Insubria, Italy. He became an Associate Professor in 2023 and holds European Diplomas in Endocrine and Breast Surgery. Dr. Arikan has contributed extensively to research in endocrine and oncologic surgery and is an active member of professional societies such as the Asia-Pacific Society of Thyroid Surgery, European Society of Endocrine Surgery, and Turkish Surgical Association.
He focuses on bariatric and metabolic surgery, providing comprehensive solutions for weight management and obesity-related conditions. His expertise also includes thyroid, adrenal, and breast surgery, along with minimally invasive surgical techniques.
